It doesn’t take much to steal an election.

A little money and a little organization and you are on your way to being in control of a country. It’s been done before in other places and the Association for Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) is doing this now in this country through the creation of a stockpile of voter registrations. Throw in some walking around money to bus people to the polls to vote under the name of those registrations and the rest of us have been disenfranchised.

A friend recently provided some historical insight based upon her early years growing up in Argentina. She had read Antonio Sosa’s earlier article on this page — Americans are About to Make a Mistake. She also wanted to call our readers’ attention to Juan Peron, fascist dictator of Argentina who considered Benito Mussolini a role model. Peron promised people prosperity and jobs and he gave handouts just like the Pelosi stimulus package(s) to buy votes. Supporters trucked in people from the country’s interior to rally for him at the Plaza de Mayo, where they were given some money and told to vote for the populist Peronist party. Just as the ignorant people of Argentina voted for Peron, the uninformed masses will do the same for Obama.

Peron was overthrown in 1955. However, Argentina has yet to recover from the years of financial and political chaos.

Like Peron, Obama offers jobs and prosperity but his agenda consists of welfare in the form of a middle class tax cut, increased deficits via national health care, further stimulus packages and what will soon be massive tax increases to cover the unfunded liabilities associated with social security, medicare and prescription drugs. The bailout package on top of these issues adds gasoline to a fire.

The resulting inflation and usurpation of the private sector will devastate the economy and individual liberty. Almost 55 years later, Argentina has yet to recover from their socialist experiment. Other South American Countries are headed that same way, as Mr. Sosa points out. Don’t vote to turn your life over to a similar group of central planners bent on using the force of government to redistribute income and dictate the rules of fairness in society.
