Yesterday and today, events around the country protested bias in the mainstream media.
Friday, October 16
In Chicago, the Chicago Tea Patriots rallied yesterday from 4pm to 6pm outside two news outlets. The events were timed to coincide with their respective live broadcasts of the evening news. The march began at the ABC 7 studio on State Street at 4pm, and moved to the CBS 2 studio one block away on Washington at 5pm. Here’s video from the protest:
Portland also held a rally yesterday, marching on the offices of the Oregonian newspaper and on KGW Channel 8..
Check out the video of the Portland protest:
The Oregonian stiffed the protestors, wouldn’t even make a reporter available to talk to over 100 people right outside their door. But station KGW heard them and covered the event on the evening news — Media Protest: Operation – Can you hear us now? Why not? It was a gimme right outside their studio.
Shreveport was also the scene of a rally on Friday held by the Red River Tea Party — a “Sign Waving Rally” from 5:30-6:30pm at the intersection of 70th and Youree Drive. Those attending were strung out along both roads waving signs at passing traffic:
We choose liberty.
No more taxes.
Our country is at stake!
Uphold the Bill of Rights.
No! Socialized Medicine
Stop spending.
Freedom is fading.
Producers not looters…. and many more….
These folks really have mastered the art of sign-waving! See Shreveport below:

ADMC contributor Dr. Ron Hei spearheaded a rally in Andalusia, Alabama from 12pm to 2pm in the downtown City Square. Here’s a picture of the highly motivated early arrivals, taken at noon exactly. Eventually, about thirty people came. The star of the show, Annie the Service Dog, is in the front of the group proudly wearing her sign.
The crowd that showed up at the CNN Center in downtown Atlanta today started gathering at 10:30am and hung in there until 2:00pm. Organized by North Georgia 9-12, they made a good point — “We are the tip of the iceberg.”
Our friend Rus Thompson led a rally of about 25 people at 2pm today in front of the Buffalo News building, One News Plaza, in Buffalo, New York.
According to a news item in the Houston Chronicle, the crowd outside their downtown office building on Texas Avenue peaked at around eighty by noon. Three additional and separate events were held outside Channel 2 (NBC) on Southwest Freeway, Channel 11 (CBS) on Allen Parkway and Channel 13 (ABC) on Bissonnet Street. All four events ran from 11:30am until 2:00pm.
The event held today in Manchester, NH was organized by The New Hampshire 912 Project as a MeetUp group. They rallied outside the studio of WMUR TV 9 at South Commercial Street and Granite from 11:00am to 12:30pm.
And then there’s Phoenix, a group that made one of our favorite signs (see second picture). They rallied outside the offices of the Arizona Republic newspaper in downtown Phoenix on East Van Buren…
…and in front of KPNX 12 on Central Avenue. The two events ran from 9am to 1pm.
Said Sandra Scott, who organized the Channel 12 segment of the Phoenix rally:
Two million in DC, tea parties across the nation, filling town hall meetings beyond capacity … well, we must have been too subtle to catch the attention of the mainstream media. Now we will take our message to their front door.
The media protest in Richmond and Midlothian Virginia targeted WRIC TV 8 on Arboretum Place, WTVR 6 on West Broad Street, and WWBT 12 on Midlothian Turnpike from 2pm to 3pm. The Richmond crew organized these three separate events on Facebook.

One Response to “Patriots Marching”

October 18th, 2009 at 12:24 pm
What ALL of these folks need is ‘organization’. There were a tremendous number of people who passed by our location in Andalusia and honked their horn, waved, stuck a thumbs up, etc. “WITHOUT” media, there are so MANY patriots who simply don’t get the word. Organize, Unite, support one another, pass the word, Network, and prepare NOW, to TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY!!!!
