Our country’s traditional JudeoChristian heritage is being suppressed, while Islam is handled with the kid gloves of political correctness. One striking example is the different treatment accorded two members of the Army.

Army Lieutenant General William “Jerry” Boykin openly expressed his Christian world-view in public. He is, in fact, the author of the book Never Surrender: A Soldier’s Journey to The Crossroads of Faith and Freedom.  He served 13 years with the storied Delta Force, including two as its commander.  In 1992 he led the manhunt in Colombia for drug lord Pablo Escobar. He led the October 1993 battle of Mogadishu. But negative coverage of his public expressions of his faith by the liberal mainstream media brought an end to his distinguished 36-year military career, and forced his retirement.

Army Major Nidal Hasan also held strong religious views. A devout Muslim, he openly expressed his approval of a jihad, or holy war, against western culture and our way of life. He even had business cards that declared him a soldier of Allah. He should have been removed from the military, at the very least, if not kept under surveillance. But he was given a deluxe education at the taxpayers’ expense, not only for college but also for medical school. And, because he was a Muslim, no one dared to question his erratic behavior. His outcome was the killing of thirteen people at the Fort Hood military base in Texas.
