…is the hallmark of the Obama administration. One prime example is the effort expended to send a personalized greeting to every supporter (and some whom they mistakenly imagine are supporters, as in this case). First, the letter:
Ronald –
You’ve been an incredible part of this movement this year. So some volunteers got together and helped us make a holiday video, just for you, Ronald Hei.
It was a blast making it. Enjoy!
Happy holidays,
Mitch and the entire OFA community
Paid for by Organizing for America, a project of the Democratic National Committee — 430 South Capitol Street SE, Washington, D.C. 20003.
Just for grins, watch:
A holiday video for Ronald Hei
No, they don’t make one of these for every person. They have a library of videos for many of the first names used in America and they do a mail list sort on first names — fname=Ronald. Even so, that’s a significant effort when our young warriors are dying on foreign soil, the real jobless rate stands at 17.5%, and the national debt has grown beyond what our economy can support in interest payments.
It is also a sad commentary on the intelligence level of the electorate, or at least that segment that voted for Obama. The warm bodies rounded up by ACORN and SEIU during get-out-the-vote drives knew little about our history, our governmental systems, or domestic and foreign affairs. They were made to feel that they had done something meaningful by marching, carrying signs, wearing T-shirts, and so on. And now they are rewarded with this warm fuzzy thank-you at the “holiday season.”

One Response to “Style Over Substance…”

Really sad. How the left tries to emulate those examples of caring that has been a hallmark of U.S society for over 200 years.
But as that great philosopher, Forrest Gump, says “Stupid is as Stupid does”. And, Stupid can’t be fixed.
