Last December, we called on one Dem Senator to stop the bill. We called on one of those moderate Dems to stop the bill because of a corrupt and ugly process.
We learned later that the process was even more corrupt than we thought, i.e., special deals for Nebraska, Louisiana, etc. We learned later that a special deal was made to secure union support.
Now, we are looking for another Dem to pull the plug on this nonsense, specially now that Speaker Pelosi is threatening to “deem the bill”.
Again, where is the serious Dem that will say “no” to a corrupt process. It’s true that reconciliation and “deeming” have been used before. However, it was never used for something this big or significant.
Health care is a major piece of legislation. It deserves to be approved or rejected by constitutional means, i.e. up and down vote in each House!
